Action Zone repairs

The work is completed on the Action Zone bars, and I couldn't be happier with the work done!

First the bars were extended back to the original length of 71cm after some nutter cut them down.

Next I wanted the cross bar to have the ends capped like my other set.

Finally the small ding was filled in with lead.

Job done! Now to have them sent to SBD and painted in a nice 1986 Haro blue, and some Action Zone decals in the Haro colours!

Stripped Action Zone bars

Spent last weekend stripping my second set of Action Zone bars down to the bare metal. Got to say the brazed welds are gorgeous. Almost sad they get lost under powdered coat or chrome...

Anyway, some minor work needed on them as there's a small ding on the crossbar. Nothing major, but I'll get a welder to fill it out and smooth them back to normal.

More Action Zone Bars

I managed to pick up a section set of Action Zone bars, so these will be heading on to the Haro once I get it powder coated. These will be done in Haro blue to match the Haro Master once it's finished.... whenever that happens :)

GT World Tour and Action Zone decals

I'm increasingly tempted to redecal the GT back to the World Tour it was when I got it.

I built it up to replicate the Pro Performer I had back in the day, but I've deviated away a bit so may as well go a step further away.

Also, now I'd got a set of the Action Zone handlebars I thought I'd replace those decals too with ones made up in the same colours as the 1985 GT decal.

Turned out better than expected.

Just need to get a bunch of things set off for powder coating and these will be on the bike some time soon.
