Cheers, I thought about getting it laquered afterwards but with such a smooth finish the laquer may flake off later, and that would be a nightmare to restore again.
So I waxed it with a hard car polish afterwards so the water/dirt won't really attack the surface too badly.
Then probably a good polish 1-2 times a year to bring back to a full shine.
